1997 Grand Slam Ventures Gold Foil Rookie Card
Grand Slam Ventures produced a limited number of CHAMPIONS OF GOLF: THE MASTERS COLLECTION sets which consisted on one card for each of the Augusta Masters Championships beginning with Horton Smith in 1934. The Tiger Woods card was issued in 1997 when he won the Masters. 

These came in 2 versions: The limited Edition GOLD FOIL Version and the more common GOLD INK Version. The gold foil cards were available to subscribers to the series (maybe 300-600 people) and the gold ink were sold in sets in 1997 and 1998 in stores (thousands of sets).

The Gold Foil cards had a gold foil imprinted border and bar on the front of the card. These are the RARE cards in this series and should be the most sought after Tiger Woods cards of all time. Few of these cards will grade a 10. We have a limited number to offer and can not guarantee availability in the future. First come - first serve. Price subject to change.

Graded Gold Ink Version Cards

This is the gold ink version of the 1997 Tiger Woods ROOKIE CARD. This card was issued for the boxed sets sold in pro shops and stores. Same graphics front and back as the rare gold foil version but with the gold ink borders and bar. This card is still the rookie card and a great collectible but not as rare as the gold foil. This has been professionally graded also.
